How does EM-X Ceramic work?

EM-X ceramic was developed in Japan by Professor Teruo Higa, the discoverer of Effective Microorganisms (EM). It consists of a very fine clay in which more than 80 species of microorganisms (lactic acid bacteria, photosynthetic bacteria, yeasts, actinomycetes, and fungi) are embedded during fermentation.

After fermentation, the clay is fired at 800–1200°C. During this firing process, the living bacteria are not preserved, but their bioinformation (resonance pattern) is "programmed" into the ceramic.
