About Bijzonder Duurzaam

Bijzonder Duurzaam offers the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable world by offering a wide range of sustainable, ecological, and environmentally friendly products.

Imagine walking through a beautiful forest, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. Birds chirp, leaves rustle in the wind, and the sun's rays break through the canopy, creating an enchanting interplay of light and shadow. But amidst all that greenery, you see something that doesn't belong: plastic bags dangling from branches, bottles floating along the shore, and other debris that mars the natural beauty.

That's when I realized something had to be done. It wasn't enough to just stand on the sidelines and watch. So I started cleaning up the trash I encountered on my walks. But as I removed more plastic, I realized a deeper solution was needed.

And so, Bijzonder Duurzaam was born. A place where people can choose a better world. A world where plastic waste is replaced by reusable alternatives, where nature is protected instead of polluted.

Collaborating with this wholesaler is also a conscious choice, to ensure there's no unnecessary inventory and no trucks need to drive to deliver to me first and then to you. It goes directly from the wholesaler to you, saving a lot of travel and unnecessary waste. So, this website isn't a quick fix or a cash register-ringing webshop, but a conscious choice to keep lines shorter. Which, in turn, contributes to a more sustainable world.

Who am I then?

My name is Danielle Riemersma, and I'm often found outdoors in Mother Nature. Recharging my batteries or tapping into the field of unimagined possibilities—is there anything more beautiful? I don't think so. And if I want to reduce litter in Mother Nature, it's great if I can raise awareness of alternatives.

I believe that consciousness and change can mean a great deal for our beautiful planet. Fortunately, this is increasingly gaining space in our lives, and that it's vital to interact more consciously with nature and Mother Earth.

I invite you to join me on a journey of discovery to more sustainable alternatives and products that are not only good for you, but also for the planet.

Every step you take brings you closer to a greener and healthier environment. Whether you start by replacing plastic bottles with reusable ones for your shampoo (or maybe even eliminating bottles altogether...) or pampering yourself with biodegradable personal care products—every choice counts.

The beauty of this journey is that it has no final destination. It's not just about reaching a goal, but about the journey itself. It's a continuous process of learning, growing, and discovering. So enjoy every step you take and be proud of the progress you're making. I'm still far from perfect, but I'm learning every day. To make a difference, step by step, product by product.

Because change happens in small steps, it's also smart for you to make changes gradually. I've noticed this myself. Changing everything at once is often too much. Taking small steps is helpful. For example, if you've run out of a product in your home, feel free to look around for an alternative. This way, you're taking steps in the right direction each time, towards a more sustainable household.
