Rhassoul, also known as ghassoul, is a clay found only in Morocco. This beige or pink clay has been used for centuries as a natural cleanser for skin and hair. Rhassoul clay is rich in minerals (iron, potassium, magnesium, and silica) with absorbent properties, gently cleansing your skin. Pores become finer, and over time, your skin will be less dry and more radiant!

Rhassoul is often used as a facial mask, hair mask, or body mask. The latter is part of hammam rituals and is therefore a traditional Arabic treatment. The clay also cleanses your hair and scalp, adds volume, and reduces oiliness. All of this is done gently, making it a versatile product that everyone can benefit from.

Tips:

1. Don't use metal tools, but instead use wood or bamboo for example!
2. Do not allow the clay to dry while it is on your skin, as this will dry out your skin too much.
3. Rhassoul/ghassoul clay can affect dyed hair because it reacts with the minerals in the clay.
4. Use the rhassoul powder as a dry shampoo!

Usage

Face mask and body mask:

Place 1 tablespoon of clay in a small bowl and slowly add 3 tablespoons of water. Stir until a spreadable yet firm mixture forms. Too thick? Add a little water. Too thin? Add a little more clay. Apply the mask and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse with water afterwards. This mask can also be used as a body mask. Use more clay and water in the same proportions.

Hair mask:

Use the same recipe as for the face mask, or add a little clay to your regular shampoo instead. Wash your hair as usual.

Dry shampoo:

Add a little rhassoul powder to your hair, let it soak in for a while and then comb it out well.
