La Droguerie Écologique – Vegetable Soap Flakes (Organic, 1 kg)

Want to wash your laundry sustainably, without plastic bottles and unnecessary additives? With 100% plant-based soap flakes from La Droguerie Écologique, you can quickly make your own liquid detergent, hand soap, or even soap bars.

Why choose soap flakes?

  • Super concentrate – 1 kilo of soap flakes is good for about 60 liters of liquid detergent (approx. 130 washes).

  • Organic & plant-based – made from coconut and palm oil from controlled organic farming .

  • Hypoallergenic & mild – ideal for delicate fabrics (wool, silk, lingerie) and perfect for baby laundry and people with sensitive skin.

  • Zero waste – wrapped in kraft paper, without additives, perfumes or preservatives.

  • True French craftsmanship – produced and packaged in France.

Usage possibilities

You can vary endlessly with these soap flakes:

  • Make your own laundry detergent – cheap, easy, and completely natural. Add essential oil or Waft laundry perfume for a scent of your choice.

  • Liquid base soap – for hand washing or cleaning.

  • DIY projects – such as making your own soap bars with herbs, essential oils or hydrosols.

How to make your own laundry detergent (basic recipe)

  • Bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add the soap flakes. Stir until completely dissolved.
  • Add another 4 liters of boiling water and stir well.
  • Divide the mixture into two bottles or buckets:
      • Coloured laundry : leave it like that.

      • White laundry : add 40 g soda (see warning below).

  • Let the mixture cool overnight – it will thicken into a gel-like substance.
  • The next day, add 30 drops of essential oil or laundry perfume per 2.5 liters.

👉 Dosage: Use approximately 100 ml per wash. Good for over 100 washes per kilo .

Additional tips for natural stain removal

  • Lemon oil : enhances the whitening effect and has a grease-dissolving effect – ideal for white laundry.

  • Eucalyptus oil : very suitable for bedding, helps against dust mites.

  • Lavender or Ylang Ylang : for a softer fragrance experience with colored laundry.

  • Oxygen bleach (eco variant) : for extra whitening power, add a spoonful to stubborn stains.

  • Sensitive skin : leave out essential oil or add a drop via wool washing balls only when drying.

Important for white laundry (soda)

Baking soda enhances grease-dissolving properties and has a slight bleaching effect. Perfect for white laundry.

⚠️ Be careful with older washing machines: some drums contain aluminum, and baking soda damages this material. A simple test will tell you for sure:

  • Magnet sticking? Then the drum is stainless steel → soda is safe.

  • Magnet falls off? Then it's aluminum → don't use baking soda.

Suitable for all types of laundry

The basic recipe without perfume is safe to use on almost all types of textiles and temperatures:

  • Low temperature – ideal for delicate fabrics such as silk, wool and lingerie.

  • High temperature – powerful enough for cotton, bedding, towels and baby clothes.

  • Sensitive skin – also suitable for people with allergies and for washing baby clothes due to its hypoallergenic properties.
