Description

The Fair Squared menstrual cup is soft and made entirely of FSC-certified, Fair Trade natural rubber. This minimizes irritation, and very few people are allergic to it. It's also very environmentally friendly, saving you a lot of tampons and pads.

What is the menstrual cup?

This cup doesn't absorb menstrual blood; it collects it. It's literally a cup that collects the blood. It can hold three times the amount of blood as a regular tampon, so it provides long-lasting protection, meaning you don't have to change it as often. The cup can be used throughout your entire period, regardless of whether you have a heavy or light flow.

The menstrual cup is reusable. Once full, simply remove the cup and empty the contents into the toilet. Simply rinse it with water and reinsert it.

What size?

Size 1, M: for women under 30, slim build, virgins, shorter vagina, no vaginal delivery.

Size 2, L: for the average woman, over 30 years old, average vaginal length, vaginal delivery (so also if you had a vaginal delivery before the age of 30!)

Manual:

Before first use and at the end of each month's use, the menstrual cup must be sterilized. Boil some water in a saucepan and leave the cup in it for a few minutes.

To insert the cup, you need to fold it. To do this, you press the top edge so it folds slightly. Hold it between your fingers and don't insert it too deeply. You shouldn't feel it. Once inside, the cup unfolds, creating a gentle vacuum. This ensures a comfortable fit, prevents slippage, and collects all the blood.

After a maximum of 12 hours, the cup should be removed. Gently pull the stem until you can gently squeeze the bottom of the cup. This will release the vacuum and release the cup. You can now remove it, empty it, rinse it, and reinsert it if desired.

Once your period is over, sterilize the cup again.

Good to know

Unfolding an extra-flexible cup can be a bit trickier. Pay close attention to ensure proper vacuum seal.

This flexible cup is less suitable for women with very strong pelvic floor muscles because the muscles are more likely to make a dent, which can cause leakage.

Environment

Menstruation isn't the most exciting time for many women. You're constantly dealing with tampons and pads, sometimes worrying about whether the blood is being collected properly. It's also not very kind to the environment. After a few hours of use, tampons and pads are thrown away, creating a considerable amount of waste. This menstrual cup significantly reduces that waste. Moreover, this Fair Squared cup is made of 100% natural rubber.
